xxx£1800/Year Road Tax?

Did anyone else catch the news today that the all-party Environmental Audit Committee group of MPs are proposing that "the drivers of the worst polluters should pay up to xxx£1800 per year road tax"? This doesn't bode well for us post '72 guys!

If it does come off, I hope they'll update the 1973 rule too so us post '73 guys will be exempt....

We pay a lot in tax on our fuel already!!!!!

I did hear a comment a while back that the JOC could be considering lobbying parliament for a road tax exemption for the owners of all cars over 30 years old who were members of their respective car club, does anyone know anymore about that?
