I don’t know what car Isadora met her fate in but I shall make sure I am suitably attired and warn Neil about the potential perils of wearing his Dr Who scarf.

Miss Marple? MISS MARPLE? I think you will find that the car is very much associated with Marilyn Monroe who draped herself all over the car. Well I’d love to stay and chat, but I have cakes to bake and murders to solve.
I think you’ve misunderstood. When the newspaper report said Miss Munroe was draped over a singer it was in fact Frank Sinatra and not the Roadster. Sorry to prick your balloon.

Marilyn Monroe's original name was of course Norma.
We had our own Norma at the same time, otherwise known as Sabrina.

Lines such as "My this frying pan really is hot" & "Had it turned right up". I bet he did.

This experimental Triumph Le Mans engine was referred to as "Sabrina". See if you can guess why...

A member in another thread said:

"And all this new knowledge has come from one misplaced Umlaut. It's amazing what two small dots in the wrong place can achieve!"

You don't know how right you are.

As this thread is well-known the Mother of All New Knowledge I'd like to tell you that there is even a Wikipedia topic on wrong, unneccesary and useless Umlauts. I am happy that most of you don't have them on their keyboard. They are dangerous little creatures.

Wallace, the Forum has grown up since you last posted.
We are now serious and purposed, and against That Sort of Thing, whatever that may be.
You can immediately tell that by the response to your posting.

Too awful to contemplate.

Ahh Mr.Bond, contemplation is underrated. I challenge you to a duel at the Pink Pound with feathers and naughty little Minkies.
