Pieman sold his car.

Barrie is making up a „homophonic“ incident.

Two events that do not seem to have anything in common. One in Yorkshire, one in London. The founder of „Unwanted Heat“ very quiet in the past months, the main contributor with absurd allegations.

I think there is a coincidence:

The Fafner-Fasolt Conspiracy.

2 giants, fake news, fantastic music, an enormous treasure, a wide river - watch this space, details to follow.

I have been curious about the “Unwanted Heat” saga. Things have been very quiet on this thread since my friend Racer Joe solve the engine bay heat soak condition, and published his “how-to” instructions.

I was very concerned that RacerJoe’s thread would be the last line of this continuously unfolding saga.

I look forward to future installments.

Went for a 200 mile run First part 4 mph. That sucked but no heat up. Got under the hood and messed with the number one carb. Replaced the brass needle and seat. O ring flat. Now getting 15 mpg. Ordered some more Holley parts from Art at Six Pack performance. Been in business since the seventys same location. He wants me to change my thermostat to a 180 degree from a 160 degree. I will when I get 18 mph with my six pack. No engine heat transfer as of now. Nice visit to a guy competing for a Riddler award. Interesting thing. He also did what I did in his engine compartment He had a Big Block in a 39 Ford. 17,000 hrs. Yes. 17,000 hours. Absolutely impeccable. If anyone is having a temp heat problem with their altonator I will share my my cure. Best to all. Racer

Back to the conspiracy:

Fafner and Fasolt - two giants in an epic drama. One died too early, the other was an early Transformer, morphed into a fire-breathing dragon.

These giants were running a construction and building company. One of their major projects was to build a brand-new castle called Walhall, the new home of the Nordic Gods. A task similar to the complete restoration of a C-V8. Here we have the first coincidence of the conspiracy.

When delivering the turnkey building, Wotan (Head of the Gods and a well known real estate broker) thought he might change the terms of delivery and refused to hand over his sister-in-law Freia, a blonde heroine from the Western parts of the county where they speak a very peculiar language.

Fasolt and Fafner were not happy to not receive the agreed remunaration.

- How can Wotan solve this problem?
- Will Freia ever be happy again?
- What are Fasolt and Fafner up to?
- Why do all protagonists have C-V8s?

- Fricka not getting her man must leave her cold.
- C-V8s not having any heat issues anymore, ref two posts further up.
- Wotan seems a cool type?
- Fafner and Fasolt being bewildered not generating much energy

I cannot see any heat here, wanted or unwanted?

Wotan, otherwise known as Woden in Olde English gave his name to the day of the week Woden's day, Wednesday. In Nordic, Odin, father of Thor from which Thorsday, or Thursday came.

And of course Odin's day is in Norwegian "O(di)nsdag" i.e. onsdag. Btw Fricka ("Frigg") is Wotan's wife. Got yer wires crossed there.

You‘re right Per, it‘s Freia, just muddled it up.

Talk about muddled up.
Woden? Woden’s Day??
I thought it was named after Onan, Onan’s Day.

You remember the old nursery rhyme “Monday’s washing day, Tuesday’s soup etc.
No wonder I’m always so tired on Wednesdays.e

Onan was everyman. Just one of us blokes, but biblical.
His brother died and so, according to Jewish tradition, he was obliged by his dad, Judah, to 'lie' with his widowed sister-in-law. He was supposed to do the deed but at the last moment decided that he should make a tactical withdrawal and as the saying goes, "spilled his seed on the ground."

His name gave rise to 'Onanism' which has passed into English public school folklore as "the gravest of sins"
Interestingly, I recently met a fellow who was an expert on ancient Jewish law and he said Onan was a much maligned man as Onan was aware that if he made his sister-in-law pregnant any male offspring would deprive him of his inheritance.

Well, you did ask......
