Reunited after 40 years

Post by Kirbsogs »

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to reunite my car with one of its previous owner.
In 2018 I found a post on Facebook from a guy, Danny, who was looking for his partners parents car.
We have been in touch since, and last saturday I was able to reunite them.

GPG 706K was owned by Mr & Mrs Carrington from early August 1971 to April 1979.

Last weekend their Samantha daughter got married, I was fortunate to be able to pick Samantha and Mrs Carrington up from a hotel in Holbourn and take them to the wedding venue in Chancery Lane. Unfortunately Mr Carrington is no longer with us but, his brother and a lot more of the family were there. None of them knew the car was going to be at the wedding. Samantha can remember the car from when she was a child.
The original photograph mid 1970's which started the process.

Fantastic to see these amazing new photos. Your Mk3 is still a stunner after all these years. I can't imagine a better reunion than that.
