Interestingly, the Bristol Omnibus Company was also distantly related to the famous Bristol cars. I think the bus company came first, founded in Victorian times by one of the George Whites (there were several, including one still alive!), then I think the bus makers, then the aircraft makers in WW1 and finally the car company was spun off in the 1940s, and also led by a George White.
