Also at Thirlstane Castle but for both Saturday and Sunday. The hill climb was pretty good with some interesting racers and spirited driving along with lots of noise.
Attendance on both days was very good judging by the queues for the numerous food outlets.
Got a photograph of a new member car, a nice Jensen 541, bought about two months ago by a doctor from Peebles whose name I've forgot (the curse of age).
Also, when was the last time you saw an Amphicar in the flesh, especially one with such an appropriate registration number?
Lots of cars, racing, lots of visitors, a thoroughly good weekend.
Total Jensen tally for the weekend was:- 2 x Interceptor mk2 (including mine), 1 x Jensen Healey, 2 x Jensen 541 (one not in the club and one new member).

About 1969, I believe. I was mesmerised by the sight of the little propeller on the car ahead as we drove through London.
That 541S has certainly travelled - last month it was not far away from me in Hertfordshire. I presume the other 541 was the grey car (212 DFK) belonging to the Moray Museum?

Yes the grey Jensen 541 belongs to Tom MacWhirter of the Moray Motor Museum. Used to be a member but think he has lapsed, mind you he has loads of cars so memberships must cost a bomb.

I wondered who the creepy old man was, rubbing his hands together in front of the girls signing autographs. Then I realised it was the great Dario Franchitti! Not his best angle.
