The M69 will bring you out south of the M42 / M1 junction where the traffic will be, you may be better going up the M42 then Coleshill A446 or M6 toll then the A38

My C-V8 needs more metal work so I will be going up in my 900 convertible, hopefully with the top down all the way

Thanks Helen. We will arrive in Harwich on the Thursday morning and will travel taking the back roads towards Lowick not to far from Peterborough and drive eastwards on the Friday taking the A605, A427, A43, A47, B604, A606, A46 up to near Bingham, the A6097 and the back roads through Calverton, Papplewick to Eastwood Hall. Hopefully without to much traffic.

If someone needs some J-H parts I can bring some items with me if they are not to large.

Haven't you told them yet the C-V8 is fibre glass?

I should probably put this on the Jensen-Healey tech but does anyone coming to the International happen to have a spare bonnet hinge? The offside is loose and the garage have been unable to source a replacement. If you have one or know of any please let me know.

Next question -

RHS looking at the car, or RHS when sitting in it?

(I know which - offside in the UK is the RHS when sitting behind the wheel.)

I was told by those who would know these things (ex JML employees) that Jensen never used the term offside and nearside for exactly this reason. They always referred to right side and left side (when facing same direction as car).

Sorry to cause all this confusion. I think you may be in the UK now Kees so I can't take you up on the offer. Hopefully they have suitably adjusted the hinge. All I want is to be able to drive the car tomorrow!!
