I hope some influential people in the club has read the comments about the club in “Jensen healey” on Facebook
Sorry if grammar not proper

Re: Nec show no JH
I also saw the comments on FB under the group 'Jensen Healey'
I think the comments were probably fair some years ago but no longer justified.
I didn't see anyone with an S type , H type , C-V8 , S-V8 Etc.. moaning.
I am sure the powers that be will already be thinking of next years stand and the 50th anniversary of the J-H.
Just a footnote. Whenever I organise a stand for a JOC event in Devon/Cornwall I always like to put the JH & GT
cars to the front. They always get alot more questions as to what they are and raise awarenesss of the marque.

A little condescending Jon, just because these people didn't put anything doesn't mean that they haven't thought about it.
The events have already started to be advertised for the Healey 50th so it will be a good year for them

Condescending? Surely the opposite Colin!
With on average 4 cars on a stand and finding suitable enthusiastic owners willing to give up there valuable time & money any car on show is a bonus.
I would be interested in what ‘you’ would suggest for the next say 3 shows?

Re: Nec show no JH
In 2020 there was no show.
In 2019 there was a Jensen GT on the stand (the Jensen-Healey owner who was invited to show could not make it).
In 2018 the theme was pre-war cars. There was the White Lady in public for the first time in half a century, an S-Type and the 1938 Motor Show H-Type.
In 2017 there was a Jensen-Healey on the stand
In 2016 it was all Interceptors/FFs for the 50th anniversary of the Interceptor & FF.
There has not been a C-V8 at the NEC since at least before 2016 - that needs to be rectified.
Next year is the 50th anniversary of the Jensen-Healey.
Already advertised is the Isle of Man Festival of Motoring to feature the Jensen-Healey, we have been in touch with the organisers. The event is being booked up fast. The JOC have secured 15 rooms exclusively available in one of the hotels. The notice should have included a deadline date - 30th November - by which day they need to be booked.

Re: Nec show no JH
All good justifying points. I think it would be possible in the future to use the wall / graphic spaces to display images of models that are absent. Our TV video did show different cars but it can be easily overlooked. I am all for showing and promoting the full range of our marque. I thought that the black and white image of the CV8 was very striking and I certainly used it to inform the public.

There was a C-V8 on the stand in 2017, and a Jensen-Healey (the C-V8 was Ian Northeast's speed record attempt car).
There was a J-H on the stand in 2015 (HEA 4K)
There was a J-H on the stand in 2013 (KNJ 878P) and a C-V8 (mine).
If a J-H is shown next year then allowing for a missed year in 2020 the J-H will have featured on the JOC stand every other year.
It's the C-V8 that misses out, not sure about the 541, someone else can work that one out.

Don’t be fussy and move your ass !
I made 1600 miles with the PW on the trailer across Europe ( and the Northsea ) to bring it to the NEC. Of course on own expense!
Nobody has ever complained about the fact that there was no PW on the NEC.
Everyone is more than welcome to support the team on the stand or be involved in preparation but please keep quiet from the sideline!

Re: Nec show no JH
Very much appreciated, Joerg.
I made sure that when I told anyone about our stand I mentioned the rarity of the PW.
However, our Forum is just that - a place for discussion and although action is preferable to words, everyone should be allowed to contribute their opinion.
