The JOC won Best Small Club Stand 2021… the team & our members should feel very proud of the achievement. It makes the years to come something more to keep thriving for. We also was nominated for best magazine (next time, keep those great article coming in).

Well done to our Chairman and & Vice Chairman along with Eddie, Helen , Chris & Alan, Alister, Kevin, Stephen, Zacaroli & of course Jörg for making the Trip from Germany to support the Club and to all that came out to visit, chat & support for a great first day.

Absolutely amazing news for the club.

It’s hard not to be biased, but if you go to the show it really is the best stand by a country mile.

Can’t wait to see the stand in action when I go to the show tomorrow.

Biased or not, I went yesterday and went around all the halls and it really was the best stand at the show. To echo also an earlier comment, several stands I visited I had to attract someone's attention from their seats behind the cars in order to ask a question, a few had even parked their cars in such a way they had a little hidey hole in the middle where they were sitting, or there was no one there at all, just a few cars parked in a line. Not so on the JOC stand where I just observed our volunteers talking to all comers.

I think we’re very lucky to have Eddie and his business to assist the club. Well done and thanks Eddie….just make sure you never get seduced into buying a different marque of vehicle. In fact, best not venture away from the club stand this weekend I say.

With this award is it not possible to be a little more towards the entrance to Hall 1, I appreciate that this is the regular spot for the Club but it is towards the rear and not all visitors walk every single row and aisle. There ware a few aisles at the end of the day that we scanned and to miss as we were only there for 1 day.

The top of the stairs and along the top edge was the favourite spot for Photographers scanning the event, it would be nice to see the JOC stand accidentally in view of all those photos instead of a car cocoon or a car cover stand. To see Earl’s Court and the Jensens from an elevated position looking down would have been stunning and I’m sure would have made many a magazine world wide

You are spot on correct with the placing of the stand in the hall, and how important it can be for exposure.

When I initially saw the hall plan, I did try and get the club moved to a more prominent position. But had no joy.

But after the 2019 stand and this years, I think we have a very good case for a more prime position, especially if we promise to out do this year’s efforts.

The stand was excellent, by far the best I saw at the show. In addition the effort the team put in was outstanding, as a club we are very lucky to have such dedicated enthusiastic people.

Working on the stand for 4 days is no mean feat, we all owe many thanks to the team for promoting the club and Jensen brand so well.

Regards

I was on the stand for Friday and Saturday, and concur with John's comments, it is hard work especially on the feet and back, so well done those who have done 4 days, I'm just the part-timer :D
Eddie's efforts once again have done us proud, I even spoke to two gents who weren't really interested in the cars, but we spoke for about 15minutes about the stand, and they weren't the only ones.
Definitely a great team effort, glad I was a small part of it, and wishing Joerg a safe journey home.

I’m very impressed and I’m only looking at the photographs on my phone. Can’t wait to see them blown up on my computer. You guys did an outstanding job.

Thanks for waving the flag for us.

The award looks to be well deserved!

Thanks for your kind words. It was a long four day session that started with the set up on Thursday. Time and financial outlay given in good faith by the whole team towards continued awareness and promotion of our marque. I am very proud of our effort and of everyone involved. We were very busy as we drew good attendance not just from visitors but also from other clubs and the press.

We were successful on many things, namely:

a) Very good engagement with the public (Jensen and non-Jensen owners) about our cars and thus our club.

b) Recognition by a premier classic car press on the quality of our magazine.

c) Recognition on the theme and the standard of our stand by the organisers.

d) Promotion of our apprenticeship initiative on the main stage and on our stand that had and will have follow up enquires.

e) An almost Helpdesk like service provided by our members to visiting members on data / information of their cars. We had good references at hand - people and literature.

f) Reaching expected target for regalia/ membership renewals, etc.

g) Gather good insights from former JML employees (5) for an article in our magazine.

So much happens pre, during and post the NEC event.

Kind regards
Karan

Another great show thanks to Shaun, Eddie for the amazing stand and the team. It was so nice to meet many friends and members old and new. There is always a lot of people who had a connection with the factory - even a guy from the Inland Revenue who spent time in the offices. The launch of the Apprenticeship Scheme meant we met several of the ex-Jensen employees with their happy memories and escapades.

Just as important we also make so many members of the public smile and reminisce about the man up the road who had an Interceptor when they were kids! After missing last year it was good to be back. Everyone loves a Jensen! (They always find us irrespective of location in the Hall).
