FBI - Haubentauchen

Last weekend Joerg and myself organised an FBI meeting in Radebeul near Dresden.

Tired of all the gatherings here with boring Mercedeses, Porsches, Trabants and the US Car Convention we were wondering what cars from France, Britain and Italy are around and are kept hidden in Garages in and around Dresden.

So we bought some beer and some sausages.

Really wish I could have been there. Even wanted the Wurst and Bier, when I don't actually like either!

That Alfa GTV is such a beautiful car. Masses of glass, and simple body lines.

What an excellent idea. Glad it was a success for you both and those that attended. Always nice to see an eclectic mix of cars -which I find increases interest in the display.

I don’t know about others, but each year I visit the JOC International the more cursory my view of the assembled car display - magnificent though it may be. Hopefully broadening the marque of cars beyond the same old brands promoted by the remaining big manufactures resulted in more interesting and diverse conversations with the owners as well.

Any beer or sausages left over?

Beer yes, sausages gone. But I know where they grow and where to pick them from the trees (don‘t tell anybody).

Be my guest any time.

I especially enjoyed the FIAT Dino 2400, original Ferrari engine - a very rare sight.

They were donor cars for the Lancia Stratos and Ferrari Dinos in the past just because of the engine.

Rings a (Healey - Lotus) bell.
