Goodwood Revival 2021
Goodwood Revival 2021
Visited the Goodwood Revival yesterday, Lovely weather no rain, Great Racing, and a packed Tax exempt show field. On th Friday I counted 4 in the car park and one for sale on a trade stand plus the orange FF in the Auction.
The Sand colour FF was up for £124,950 and had a sold ticket on it by the time we went home

If the pictures taken on Friday included the Cassis FF, there was the blue C-V8 next to it and, my red MK3 Interceptor tooBlue-SP wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 8:55 pm Visited the Goodwood Revival yesterday, Lovely weather no rain, Great Racing, and a packed Tax exempt show field. Sorry, must have missed a few, definitely people getting out and about. Nice to see a degree of normal. We walked 11.9 miles according to Mr Apple and still missed a few things
Orange FF in the auction went for £110,400 inc premium. 2 possible new members or somebody adding to their collection

Nice to see FF VRT again, i owned it for 7ish years in the early 2000's. It had stood in an underground carpark in Beaconsfield for 3 years due to its owner unfortunately loosing his life in a motorcycle accident and bought the car from his mother who was dealing with the estate. I spent many hours righting all the wrongs and turned it into a quite decent roadgoing car. Colin Holley fitted an aluminium bonnet and painted the car champagne.
Altho registered as chassis 071 the car is actually 137 which is why it has a red interior. I had a serious wobbly when i realised this but eventually found out that both cars were owned by the same guy while in for work at Sturdy and Lowe, 071 was very rusty and 137 was on an F reg so the ID's were swapped. Strangest thing tho' was that last year i bought a van load of Jensen parts from an ex owner from Doncaster, he said he'd got them from sturdy and lowe years ago when they shut up shop. In the pile was some MK1 black interior with a dashboard that had 071 written on the back!!.
Annoyingly it became another one of several nice FF's i've owned that i've sold on, if only i'd had a crystal ball eh!.
Dave.

The owner before this sale at Goodwood was someone who was previously involved at Cropredy apparently. Classic and Sportscar Centre had taken it in part-ex against an E-Type.

Re: Goodwood Revival 2021
It's now more like 2 E-Types for a Jensen FF! My first classic was an E Type, I had a Ford Sierra XR4x4 as a daily driver. The Ford was written off parked on a busy London street. Wanting another 4x4 road car, I put £2.5K to the insurance money and bought a Vignale FF, had it inspected by Norman Long at Cropredy, bought some spares from them and Medway, and a couple of weeks later I was back on the road with a new daily driver! Nice E Types were double what I paid for the FF.

Re: Goodwood Revival 2021
Hi Dave. I joined the forum just to say that was my brother’s car. My memories of that time are a very hazy but I think it would have been sometime after ‘92, which was about when Robert was killed, although I’m not sure how long we retained the Jensen for.ffdave wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 9:44 pm Nice to see FF VRT again, i owned it for 7ish years in the early 2000's. Dave.
I uncovered some paperwork and photos (from which I got the registration number, allowing me to find this forum and last year’s sale site for the car, which was interesting.
I should try and find the current owner to see if they are interested in these items, plus a set of what I think are badges from the wheel centres, which probably belonged to this car.

Re: Goodwood Revival 2021
Welcome on board Steve.
Sorry for the loss of your brother.
I'm sure someone will know who has the car and, I'm also sure they'd be interested in any photos and papers - enthusiasts generally love anything to do with a car's history.
Hopefully someone will come forward soon.
