A fairly consistent lap time of just over 2 minutes for the 2.38 mile circuit giving an overall average speed of about 70mph. Quite respectable I think for a 47 year old road going car, not one prepared for the track and one that had to be driven back home afterwards. Sure, others were faster but they were either much more modern with all the technology advances there have been over the last 50 years or a race prepared car. For comparison saloon cars in the St Mary's trophy at this year's Revival ranged from 1m 35sec by Romain Dumas in a Ford Thunderbird and Anthony Reid in a Jaguar Mk1 to 1m 44sec by Rowan Atkinson in a Jaguar Mk VII.
