Not long now to go, looking forward to seeing everyone after nearly two years of lockdowns and other restrictions.. Weather looks a little wet tomorrow but the weekend looks better. Safe travels and I’ll see you mid afternoon hopefully..

Have a good weekend in the Alexandra. I presume it will be more like a National Weekend this time.
I really wanted to come but it is too complicated to travel to the UK and back to the Netherlands because of the restrictions and obligations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Let us hope all will be settled down next year.
I will be with you in spirit while visiting gardens  instead with Anne Marie in Belgium.

Oh dear.... I threw all of mine away in the 1980's and it turns out, the only "fancy dress" shops "near me" are at least an hours drive away, so that's not going to happen :(

I'll have to check my wardrobe for anything which might just about pass muster! Cowboy boots were big in the late 70's weren't they?

Yes really sorry not to be seeing our friends from further afield though as a Scot married to an English woman we can manage "international" before we leave home. :D :D

Determined to have a great weekend which doesn't stop us having another great one in 22? I would bring some cake for you and Ann Marie but hear horror stories of Dutch customs confiscating half eaten ham sandwiches from truck driver. I will have to be brave and eat it for you

By 15:00 on Friday already and impressive number of fine Jensen vehicles both in the Concours and general car park.

The weather even joined in with a little rain to help wash off the dirt.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend right up until the time going home just after joining the M4 going east.

horrible burning smell and smoke out of the bonnet.

Quick exit to hard shoulder. Fire extinguisher worked. Right mess now but fire out.A connection in fuse box A had got a bit warm it seems.

Still, my stupid car like being on the back of recovery trucks.

Wires look alright Shaun. Was it just the fuse holder which overheated? If so, fingers crossed its a cheap and easy fix.

Sorry to read it spoilt your otherwise enjoyable weekend.

Thanks to everyone who organised this fun weekend, and arranged the weather to match!

Although we missed the overseas visitors, there were enough cars overall.

The event was set in lovely grounds.

It's 10 years since Martin Ritchie's FF won virtually every prize, and this year it was back as shiny as ever.

It's unlikely to find a shiny Concours entrant which is as battered as this C-V8 which completed the Inca Trail rally in 2001.

There are actually 3 concours winners and the winner of the Wally Hall shield for the most mileage in the picture (16,000 miles since the last International in 2019), not to mention past concours winners.

Hi all,
Many thanks to all the organizers for arranging a fantastic weekend and particularly to Stuart for the event and Dave Pearce for the Concours. This was my first International and I'll certainly be back for more next year.

When I bought my Interceptor 4 years ago I was welcomed with open arms by the Interceptor community (John Pymm, Clive Bishops etc and supported with technical advice from the likes of Steve Payne (thanks for once again rigging up my temporary earth strap - you do, while I hesitate), Grant, Dave Pearce and John Carrier etc. I began to understand why the JOC is known as the "friendly club". From my experience a large number of car clubs are not particularly friendly.

Now that I have been lucky enough to become a 541 owner I have met a completely new element of the club. This weekend I have had some fantastic advice particularly from Jane and David Turnage, as well as Stephen Carter and Colin ("541woody") and everyone else who helped. It was also great to meet some other "newbie" 541 owners like Martin Evans and his wife to share common experiences with and to be inspired by the work that Lenny Boulton, Alastair Thomas and John Carrier have done on their cars.

As J. F. Kennedy said "a rising tide lifts all boats" and these three guys and their fantastic cars they have certainly inspired me to improve my "boat"!

Phil Fish

...and after racing with Richard Fischer to clean the car on Saturday he forgot to cover it that evening, so that was without any cleaning
