URGENT UPDATE

To comply with regulation and the anticipated relaxation of some restrictions we have decided to move the International to the weekend 10th-12th September 2021.

Although we cannot be sure what we will be allowed to do by then, we are determined to have a great (compliant) event; this will be the club’s 50th anniversary.

As soon as we are able we will post details and booking instructions both here and in the club magazine.

We really hope that by September the current travel restrictions will be relaxed allowing our friends residing on the continent (and further afield!) to join us.

We will do our best to be there and hope all restrictions will be gone by then. Count us in for the moment.

Yes Martin

It is a nightmare trying to avoid all the other events, many of which are "provisional" as yet.

The one clash is with the Abingdon Airshow but we are working on a possible way of accommodating this for those who wish to attend both events.

Looking forward to a more predictable 2022?

Yes I will publicise well beforehand.

As you might imagine it is a bit difficult knowing what we will and will not be allowed to do. But we have the Concours competition of course so it will be dusters down at 10:00 (the keen ones will have been polishing from before first light!) and if we can some demonstrations and musical entertainment; lunch then the presentations.

We anticipate the organised drive on Saturday will allow attendance at the Abingdon Air Show but as you might realise it is hard to be definite yet, are you sure we can't tempt you to the whole weekend?

Kind regards

Stuart

What are the predictions about travelling to and fro the UK at the moment. It will be fairly certain that most restrictions within the main EU countries will be lifted soon and Covid-19 number are rapidly decreasing at the moment in many countries. However I can find no reliable information about the British predictions.

Hi Kees and all

It is very hard to predict, Greater Manchester and Lancashire have just gone into more restrictions. (The politicians say NOT new lockdown, but it feels like it!)

We are proceeding with planning a great weekend, celebrating the club's 50th and we do have some time in hand.

And Kees, I know the entertainment we have booked for the dinner dance will meet with your approval :D

Happily many members also seem to be ready for freedom and bookings are buoyant :D :D
