visit to the Roger Dudding car collection.

Post by Hoges »

Hello,

Is anyone interested in going to see the Roger Dudding car collection on TUESDAY OCTOBER 6TH? Its located at Studio 434, 434-436 Mutton Lane, Potters Bar, Herts, EN6 3AT

There is a charge of £30 per head which might seem a bit steep but he does own over 400 cars including 24 Aston Martin 'wedge' lagonda's and 7 Jensen Interceptors.

For those of you who have never heard of Roger Dudding he is also know as Mr Lock up due to the 14,000 garages he owns! Roger made his fortune though from devising the ticket queuing management system adopted by post offices and other service centers everywhere. One of the first cars in his collection was of course a 1968 Jensen FF and this car along with a Morris Minor started what is probably the largest single private owner collection in the world.

If anyone wishes to go on this visit then please contact me on 1953paulhogan@gmail.com as soon as possible

Regards,

Paul Hogan. Lincs area rep

Unfortunately I can't do that date but it is well worth a visit. We went there on the C-V8 fiftieth weekend.

I remeber my last visit in 2012 very well - absolutely worth going there.

And Roger's a pretty cool chap.

That blue Lagonda Rapide was my favourite in the whole collection. (Rodger's name has a "d" in it - he doesn't like it spelt the other way).

Just in case people were wondering, i have been able to confirm that the visit to the Dudding Collection is still on for Tuesday 6th October unless the government change the covid rules again. The time to meet is 10.30 - 10.45 am at Studio 434 , 434 Mutton Lane, Potters Bar EN6 3AT. There will be members of the Triumph TR Register there to help with making up the numbers
