As the hotel for the Autumn weekend was fully booked it has made available two apartments, one for 2 couples and one for 1 couple.
The one for the 2 couples has been taken up by two couples who had two double rooms earlier.
Because of that 2 double rooms have now become available again.
Also now available is the apartment for one couple. The service will be the same as in the hotel but you have loads more space with a living and a fully equipped kitchen. There is one drawback: It will be an extra €112 for the weekend.
The apartment is build on to the back of the hotel so you will still be fully there where the action is.
If you have already booked a double room and prefer the apartment there is no problem. Just let us know and we can settle the extra the usual way or later in cash in Epen at the weekend

From the UK, who has booked which ferries etc.

I have used before the services out of Hull, despite being in the south west of the UK as it takes just as long to get to Hull as Dover for me. However was looking at going over on Eurotunnel or Ferry from Dover on the Thursday and coming back Sunday later afternoon.

I haven't booked anything yet and so hence the ask as to who is doing what for their crossings.

Sorry, would be nice to participate, but I'm only free on Sunday. If possible we're intending to join you for your last lunch, Zeebrugge is not far away from our residence. In which location the lunch takes place?

Best
Wolfgang

The location is not yet finalised. It will hopefully be around Tilburg/Breda.
Cheers,

Seems to me that Harwich would be a more logical choice than Hull from the South West. The advantage from Harwich is the later time it leaves Hoek van Holland on the journey back which leaves you ample time and more to get there after the lunch on Sunday.

Harwich is a very bad place to get to from my side of the country which is why I try and ignore it! It takes longer than Dover and Hull as I have to travel around the M25 and out the other side - west to east

Not really, you can take the route Swindon-Oxford-Luton-Stevenage-Bishop's Stortford-Harwich. Less motorway and fairly pleasant to drive. I have done it often and enjoyed it.
However it won't beat the Southern coastal route A35/31/27/259 (or better the more rural coastal roads) to Dover/Folkestone to take the train or Ferry to Dunkerque or Calais.
OK it takes time but there are loads of nice places to visit.

I realise you have discounted Hull Clive but there are usually several cars on the Hull crossing. It's certainly a better drive than Harwich if you change your mind!

I'll be using Hull both ways. Ferry not booked yet though.
