National Drive It Day - 22nd April

Well, I am a bit amazed or disappointed I don't know but I seem to have seen almost zero reference to National Drive It Day on the Forum.
Is anybody doing anything?

I agree Shaun. The National Drive It Day isn't even on the JOC events calendar. My experience of the club has been one where few members actually mention on the forum that they will be driving their cars to local events. The Notts and Lincs region seems to have died a death too. I will be going to an event in Lincolnshire at Woodhall Spa http://www.classicshowsuk.co.uk/classic ... asp?id=899 , which has proven to be a good day out in the past

Van, hope the event you are going to turns out well.
I am fully aware that things like National Drive It Day have not featured on the events list. I think it may be time to have a re-think how the JOC advertises its events on both the Forum and possibly Facebook. I have some thoughts so watch this space.

I didn't make it to these guy's event as mine is being rebuilt, but I'll be there next year. They also have regular "coffee & classics" Sunday morning meets during the summer. Would be great to see some Jensens there, it's a great way to spend a couple of hours. Went to Bicester Scramble.This event has really grown over the past few years. Fortunately the number of catering outlets and toilets has increased as well. Superb selection of cars. Three Jensens there but only saw two! One hiding in the car park I never found. Did see a novel use for an Armstrong Siddley. Two beer barrels in the back supported by a roll cage. LHD Sunbeam Tiger, an unknown Lacia and Lord Snowdon's Mini plus many Austin Healeys.
