Another two weeks to go before the Autumn weekend in Ostfriesland. We are at full capacity, we had have to create a waiting list. In the end two parties were not able to come over due to various reasons but luckily their places could be filled in from the reserve list.
I hope all participants got their digital version of the road book to print out and that those interested could download the routes in their satnav.
In the mean time I will be looking at the long term weather forecast every day.
See you in Varel.

We have had a great weekend in Ostfriesland. Beautiful weather and beautiful people who are indispensable for success.
Sadly Andrew and Lynne Tweddle were struck by bad luck as, when disembarking, something on the car deck of the fery caught in the exhaust fracturing a manifold. They never left the ferry and went straight back home. What a disappointment!!! They now will also miss the Swiss event.
Also Stuart and Gill Alan did not escape trouble when a bracket for the gear stick broke when he wanted to drive of after lunch. Luckily this was solved by a friendly German enthusiast who helped out welding the bracket in situ using his van with welder. So in the end they were in time for the dinner and can move on to Switzerland.
We thank all participants for their excellent company and good spirits.

Nice to see JH outnumbering other models for a change
16 valves but 4 extra pistons.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Kees, Hans and the rest of HJG for a great weekend in Varel. I only arrived home this mornning after the Swiss trip and can't believe how much we fitted in to 2 weeeks! My thanks also to Stuart and Gill Allan and David and Jane for being my guides and also David and Maureen Manock for assisting with my stoplock incident in Delft. I would also like to thank all the Healey owners for their input in trying to solve the passenger door jam. We got the hood down eventually in Mulhouse but the door is still firmly closed! It was great to see so many Jensen-Healeys out and about in Europe so let's hope this trend continues.
