Goodwood Revival September 8-10

Post by EdwardB »

I'm attending this and wondered if the Club arranged designated Jensen parking?
Would be great to park alongside other JOC members.

There are so many people going on different days etc. - I will be parking in the "tax free" area (pre 66 is what it used to be called) and to the best of my knowledge, there is no official club presence.

I think only Jaguar get a special parking area in the Revival classic car park. It probably costs them quite a lot as well. Everyone else has to mix it up.

Thanks Martin, Chris,
I've parked in the Jaguar section previously.
I was assuming that all clubs would have similar, like Castle Combe.
My mishtake.

Been there a number of times, the good thing of the Pre-66 car park is the mixture of completely different cars and not clubs standing together. How boring to see ten E-Types in a row but how interesting to see them close to the other contemporaries and being able to get a feeling of that era.

I'll be there Friday and Saturday.

Picknick again, Martin?

Rushing around the food shops and having to get back to the car for a picnic when we'd rather be watching the racing means we are thinking of a different format this year.
I believe we're each actually taking a "packed lunch" - provided by the hotel we're staying at. I'll double check with Zac!

Sounds good for me too, Lavant could be a not too crowded spot with some picnic space ...

It'll be tricky to keeping the Champagne cold enough though.

Lavant is the likely spot - Champagne on ice should work

After a trip in the Triumph I would not dare to open a bottle of Champagne. It might explode all over the place

Hi all
I am attending the Goodwood Revival on Saturday with my my Mk II Interceptor and I have pre-booked a space in the Tax-Exempt car park (but not yet received car park ticket). I will be coming from the Winchester area. Does anyone know the best route in from Winchester trying to avoid traffic jams. Just fitted a manual overide switch for the fans just in case.
