All final checks done and loaded ready for the 744 miles to Mulhouse over the next two days. Hopefully the few niggles are sorted and looking forward to an enjoyable and uneventful trip away. A bit of last minute drama with a delay in returning my overhauled Steering rack and pump which nearly ruled out "Toby" in favour of the Audi. Safe journey everyone.

Thanks Colin, This will be my first decent outing after doing local shake down trips which highlighted a few frustrating issues with some new and refurbished components, none of which were attributable to my restoration team, see you at the bar!

Nigel, Andy and myself, overnighting in Arras after uneventful drive to Dover and an empty ship over the channel. Setting off around 10 in the morning, for 350 mile drive to Mulhouse, and a few beers in the bar.
Hope everybody has a safe trip.

All arrived safely at Mulhouse, many beers drank and good to see old friends, and make some new ones. Weather is superb, not a cloud in the sky, and used a modest 185 euros of fuel from Arras to Mulhouse. Probably the nicest way of contributing to global warming. :D

On our way home, we (Nigel McMorrin, Andy Best and myself) were the last to leave the hotel today, didn't want to go. We stayed until the last minute as the whole trip was crap, and you can't complain unless you know it is crap from the start, until the very end, so we forced ourselves to stay.
This is a photo of type of the roads we had to endure.

This is an example of some of the views that were forced upon us.

This is an example of the crazy Swiss engineering that we were made to try out, an almost vertical funecular railway.

More photos of the punishments we had to endure will be posted when I get home, to make everybody who didn't go on the trip, aware of what they have missed out on, and make them jealous!!
Serious point now, I'm sure all that attended will agree on another truly exceptionally well organised trip with many thanks going to the three gents who have made this possible, and to the people who attended making it so enjoyable. A truly international friendly club.
Hope all have a safe and enjoyable journey home.

:D

Thank you everybody who attended this weekend! It was a great pleasure to have you here. We were very fortunate with the weather and apart from a few minor incidences all cars held up very well. We're sorry about those who could not make it or had to leave early for some reason or the other (Chris, Shaun, Joerg, Mark, Tony, Lynne, Andrew, Alex, Martin, Poul, Anette).

We had a fantastic line up of Jensens at the British Car Meet in Morges, there was a big turnout of people and cars in general. In the evening before and after the event our Jensens dominated the street along the lake of Geneva! We were very fortunate with the weather- especially up in the alps where it was snowing a week earlier. Peter Neale gave a wonderful talk on his father, Eric Neale, at the dinner on Saturday evening. We did quite a bit of driving during this weekend, from point A to B to C. We let everybody find their own way and choose their own route, and I think that worked out well. Well done to Martin and his team for the roadside assistance they provided. And again, thank you everybody for making this such a wonderful event.

The photos from the event look totally fantastic. I am sure that this has significantly raised the positive profile of Jensen in Switzerland and surrounding countries, probably for the next 10+ years, apart from the fun that was had as well! Jensen's are such gorgeous looking and sounding cars, but rarely seen in such numbers, where young people, their future owners can ogle so many different types, on the roads, parked, etc. Hopefully this provokes a spike in interest and saves a few more of the marginal cars out there.

Thank you John, indeed- I agree completely! Funny story relating your FF: Martin Kennedy upon entering Switzerland from Mulhouse on Friday, had a car behind him flashing his lights. Martin pulled over and the person from the other car asked him if he needed parts for his FF- because he knew of a derelict one sitting on a trailer not far away in the Jura.
