Nigel and myself home safe, just about made it, after the car performing faultlessly, the clock packed up this afternoon, but worse was the alternator seizing 4 miles from home. The clue was squealing fan belt, burning rubber smell and ammeter reading discharge. From St Quentin, we had a funny noise but as everything was working we carried on. As we came off the M25 it failed, but still got us to Nigel's house running on battery only. Car had done about 410 miles today mostly at 80MPH, and has covered 1600 in the past week with some very spirited driving , so can't blame the old girl.

Back home without any problem! After two years in the workshop and gettig the car back the evening before leaving to the meeting, one could´t expect that!

Home via Grimsel, Furka (also visiting the Rhone-Glacier), Adelboden, Oberalmpass, Chur, Munich. Overall 1500 km / 220 l of fuel, 1 l oil..

Thank you Andi, Felix and Michi for the organisation of the meeting! Great hotels and food in Switzerland, fantastic views and roads and many nice "Jensen"-people.

Thanks all for a good time :-)
Made it to Kiel with one hour to spare after driving through the night. Car went into limp home mode with 650km to go. Ugh!

Thank you Andi, Felix and Michi for the organisation a great trip.

We all like to think that we are members of our own Jensen Clubs, but this meeting, with another great reception, from the Swiss and with the Members in the USA, not forgetting Germany or Norway, Denmark and Sweden that we are members of something bigger, we are members of a Jensen Community.. Which is far greater.. You make effort to join in, no matter which country you will always be made very welcome.

Great organisation guys,
Only working half a day now.

Thank you Michi, Felix and Andi for arranging a fantastic weekend. For once Jensens outnumbered Aston Martins in Morges and probably got more interest from the visitors. I arrived home this morning after two days of fun driving back across Europe with Stuart and Gill. We managed to cover 6 countries on our tour but Switzerland wins the prize for spectacular scenery and wonderful roads. We are so lucky to belong to the Jensen community which really is worldwide.

We are still on our way back, in Sedan with visits to Bastogne and Waterloo battlefields still to go.

A fantastic trip. Wish we’d been in the Interceptor but a Porsche was no bad thing on the Furka, Grimsel and Sustens passes, but seemed afflicted with strange whining noises from the passenger seat, especially noticeable on the descents......

Hope all made it home safely. Thank you to all the guys for organising this, it was EPIC!

Eric & Hilary.

Eric, just feed the whining noise from the passenger seat with fish skins, should do the trick. :D
Good to meet you and Hilary again, enjoyed your company, and am jealous that you're still out there.
Have a safe journey home.

To quote Francis from another post „a totally life re-affirming experience“ or alternatively no country for trailer queens, some pictures we received from Szymon from our 6:30 AM Monday morning sunrise drive:
