We added some sugar and bottled the beer- already very tasty. 960 1/2l bottles. The beer should be ready in 3 weeks.

Tomorrow Mike, Andi and I will be heading to Mulhouse and Morges on a reconnaissance tour, to check out the route, the hotels, the parking, the restaurants, and the bars... I don‘t know if we‘ll be doing the Grimsel on Wednesday also, but I hope so...

Andi said the beer is very tasty, especially „his“ batch  (he was the last to finish). He‘ll be bringing a couple of bottles along.

Hi Felix, apparently, if you know who to ask, there is a possibility of visiting the restoration workshops at Mulhouse. It has to be organised in advance and we have been there twice already with no such opportunity. An AH tour visited a few years ago and had a special contact in the museum who organised it. We all know you will do your best !

Thanks

Dave

Andi claimed that they were going extra slow after the curve to make it look like the C-V8 was going faster. I have my doubts. Why did Andi not overtake the "fertig lustig"? Good question! :D

Hi felix,
A typical Englishman's question, What sort of weather could we expect during our visit?

Hi Andy
It could be in the 30s- either Celcius or Fahrenheit. It’s either bermudas or chains for the snow. Hope that helps :D

Seriously, this year has been unusually hot and dry. I hope it stays that way. We‘ll keep everyone posted what to expect.

Getting in some mountain miles as part of the shake down / preparation (well what we call mountains anyway - this remote spot just 30km for city centre in Dublin). My route is via Cherbourg. I'd be interested to hear any routes from the UK cars as I will try to converge at some point. Thanks.
