Dartmouth Park May 6th

Post by Kevin Birch »

Had a call from Pymmie this afternoon, he's been contacted by the organiser of last year's event, and wants some cars on display for their open day. Dartmouth Park is in West Brom and last year's event was a great day out for all, which resulted in many locals turning up who used to work at the factory, and previously unseen pictures from the boardroom being donated to the club.

I feel the club should support this local event, that is very informal, which really adds to the day. Last year we assembled 6 Interceptors and 1 CV8, all with enthusiastic owners who let the locals sit in, pry into, and god knows what else, do to our cars with gay abondonment. ( No damage occurred to any car, but the locals were very enthusiastic but very respectful)

See last years link in events, which may give you an idea of what this event is about.

It would be nice to see some other models attend,as this is their home town.

John will be passing on the details to me and I believe Paul Mac, but only have the basics at the moment, so if you're interested then let me know.

I'll let you know more in the near future.

Thanks Eddie and Alan, I'll put you on the list.

Have contacted the organiser today, the event is officially open from 11:00, so would ideally like the cars to arrive by 10:00 please, but I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem if some of us arrive a little later. I will need to confirm numbers nearer the day.

So come on ladies and gents, this is a chance to return your cars to their home town, where there is still opportunity to have your photos at Kelvin Way, and the Jensen admin block, which are only just down the road.

Come on chaps and ladies, we've only got 3 cars so far for this event, really I would like a better turn out, as this is our car's home town. All models are welcome.

Many thanks.

Hi Kev,
Will be there in the FF.
Probably best to advertise this on one of the Jensen related Facebook groups as they seem to be more popular than forums sometimes.
Cheers

Thanks chaps looks like a few more now.

Tim, was hoping you'll be in your Interceptor, as I'd love to see the front end work, but I guess it won't be ready in time.

Hope the weather keeps up as it did last year.

Glad of all the responses so far, only a week away but a few more cars would be nice.
