Thanks for all who donated ATF, I did intend buying you all beers on the Saturday evening, but alas the night went far too quickly and before I knew it , the night was over.
A couple of links to videos, the first is me doing the 15 second time trial, just showing you all how it should be done, :P For those who don't know I achieved a perfect 15.000 seconds, and am still on a serious gloat. :D
The other is of a number of classics going the other way during the rally. Can anybody fill in the gaps of the wonderfully eclectic mix, should post on "Classic cars on the road" too. I did flash them all back, and waved at the locals at the end of the video, this actually reflects the friendliness that was so apparent where ever we went, and added so much more to the trip.
My Suggestions are; Maroon Spitfire, Mercedes, Audi 100, at 0:14 brown & cream car?, 0:22 similar maroon & cream car? 0:23 blue estate? 0:25 black saloon? Mercedes,1:01 yellow saloon? Skoda, another Spitfire, Mini, Opel Manta,VW Beetle, Lada, Mercedes, 1:28 White Cadillac?, Chevy Nova, 1:31 Black American 2 door? 1:32 Blue American 2 door? VW Beetle, Skoda Felicia(mistaken for a Borgward on the video),Mercedes, Ferrari Dino 308 GT4,1:38 US Pick-up? 2 Trabants, Motorcycle & sidecar, Mercedes, Trabant,3:04 Green & white Van? Opel Rekord, and 3:37 Fire Engine?

Love the video!
Post Germany blues for me.
The amazing classic car caravan coming past us was not what we thought we'd find out on the road.
Turin it was not, it was Saxony.

As many others have said, the Saxony trip was a great success and congratulations are due to all who made it so.
We travelled 1427 miles at an average of 16mpg with a best of 18.4 on one tankful.
When we pulled into the queue for the ferry home, the driver of the car in front came to chat and asked whether we had been to the Czech Republic a few days before,,,,he had seen many of us there,,,small world,,,he was a Czech young man intending to relocate to Edinburgh.
I am already planning for Holland and Switzerland next year.

Thank you all for the kind words. It really was a pleasure hosting you here, YOU made this meeting, we just designed the frame.

Next year again in Switzerland? Or the Netherlands?

I'm hoping to do both. Just need to work out the logistics.
Could be another Jensens on Tour week.

I am amazed that I never saw one other classic! You must have just hit the perfect time, although your dash cam appears to show you were driving at 04:00 hours, which I find hard to believe....

I've been rumbled, I did the route 3 times before the official set off, and practiced the 15 sec time trial many times. :shock:
The truth is the cam is old now and for some reason always sets itself -5 hours GMT when switched on, and usually I forget to set the correct time.
Still looking for answers to the cars I've question marked. Will post it on Classics on the road" to see if I get the answers.
The dash cam is there to help if I have an incident, and I recorded almost 750Gb of info on the trip, mostly boring and useless, but you do get some interesting stuff, which you would be too late to record when it is happening, so well worth putting it up front and seeing what you get.

Or all of them?

Looks like 2018 is going to be a year for miles and more (and even more miles)! :P :P :P

Thank you Jens and Jörg for all your hard work (and that of your family and friends!) in putting on a fabulous weekend. Gill & I really enjoyed travelling so far east.

Would everyone who mentioned to us that they would join us next year please drop us a note (we lost count)?
Those who've posted or written to us are on our list

Either by filling out the form on our website:
http://www.jcc.ch/index.php?id=22#c252" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Or on the International Meet in Switzerland 2018 post:
https://www.joc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=25799" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Or drop us a note on coordination@jcc.ch (Michael) or office@jcc.ch (Felix) or chairman@jcc.ch (Andi)

Michael is on vacation this week and is doing a tour of the area and visiting the possible hotels. The Grimsel Hospiz is closed Sunday to Monday but he will speak to them and ask if they will open for us.

Kees- do you have a date set for your weekend? I'd very much like to join, but probably will not be able to take the time off with our weekend.

Thanks, Felix
