Thank you, Jens! My friend is much relieved, and although guilty with close-up picture of him provided (very concentrated picture of him- with the.rallye stripes clearly visible, which are to blame for this incident- I‘m told) and he says that Germany is a very reasonable country.

My friend said he'd rather not, him looking more like the Glöckner of Notre-Dame than Steve McQueen. I did snap a photo when he wasn't looking, though.

The picture was taken on Thursday at 12:45 in Immendingen- on our way to the meet. So chance are that I, I mean he, was not the only one who received a letter (four of us drove up together)

Is it just me or does it look like he has his nose pressed up against the glass?

If there is no-one on the left I would reject any responsibility if I were your friend.

The Saxon officials might fall for it, I am not sure about the pedantics in Baden-Württemberg though.
