Those Id cards are great, but you've got Alex Pegley wrong, I believe it should read Chuckle Brother His mate Andy should read the same, if not Brian!! These were the names they ended up with on the Turin trip

Hi Jens,
Those are the accused. Artur is coming too? Was that Joerg's son, nicknamed Normski?

Plenty of use left in those pads. Only change them when they are down to the metal. That way if you can collect the sparks that come off them, you can top up your angle grinder for free

My suspicion is that I came to the garage with those on the left, and now have those on the right. And that hissing sound may still be there, which is why I brought the car there in the first place.

Re: Jensen Meeting in Saxony - September 2017
It is looking horribly as if we will be travelling by modern car rather than in the Jensen.
In spite of my increasingly frantic efforts to have it ready in time, as of this evening I have still got at least two days of wiring to do, plus dropping the engine back in. I was confident of getting ready in time, but the delay in getting the wiring finished has put paid to that, as I had reckoned on having every evening this week to finish off the various small jobs like hoses, brake bleeding etc. etc.
I have no chance to get all that done in two evenings and a Saturday (Working outside too, natch....) so it's a case of 'close but no cigar'!
Anyone else going to have to do the trip Jensenless for whatever reason?

Eric,
Don't worry, happened to Zac and myself in 2011 going to Holland in the Jonda instead of a GT and to Ramdog going to Turin in the Ford thingy?
Being there is the important thing.

Re: Jensen Meeting in Saxony - September 2017
I have been working 2 days solid to get all the niggly little jobs done on mine to get it ready. It is amazing what I have found needed doing beside the basics like an oil change and grease.
Luckily Pat from Fenair helped me out last week, one of my Ranco valves decided it had enough. How inconsiderate after 44 years Now I am sporting a nice new shiny trinary switch and new pipe so doing away with all that 70's technology, thanks Pat for your speedy service.
Hopefully I will get all the last jobs done tomorrow.
We are leaving early Monday morning and it should be in my Jensen not the MG.
Steve

FF failed MOT yesterday with cracked front spring. Hopefully will be sorted in the next day or so but it does now have working heater and aircon!

Re: Jensen Meeting in Saxony - September 2017
I've been over my car, and keep going over everything in my head, knowing there is something that I've missed. Only thing I know I've missed is rear wheel bearing grease nipples, haven't done them since Turin, so need to re grease. My biggest issue is my 8 track has gone south, so no music. Have stripped it down and found a weird micro switch has corroded and burnt out, no chance of a repair before the off, so have bought a cheap (£15.39) modern unit, which I can install and hide somewhere, but control via its remote control pad. Will get the 8 track repaired when I come back, it will just look good and correct, in the dash for the moment.
For everybody's reference I've joined the Jensen Snap Chat, and will be carrying the following kit;
MK1 Fuel pump( Nigel knows) dizzy cap, plugs, points, condenser, coil, ballast resistor, hoses, belts various nuts & bolts, rivets, emergency wiring, trolley jack, stands, drill, jump leads, circuit tester, electrical connectors, tow rope, tools, tubes of sealant. Most of this will get little issues out of the way, I believe others will be taking other spare too, so if we all get on the Snap chat, we should be able to deal with most issues. If the owners could carry a circuit diagram of their own car, then this will be beneficial, as many a minor wiring issue has bought a trip to an end. If we have the diagrams for our cars, then at least there is a chance for somebody to work out what the problem is, without them, you are really in the dark.
Unlike the Turin trip, we are all making our own arrangements to get there and back, but if we could keep in touch, then if anybody has an issue, then there should be somebody fairly close for help. The Snap Chat App should help us all do this.
P.S. Has anybody pointed out to Alex, aka chuckle brother 1, where his gearbox dipstick is, on his latest Interceptor?
