I met a chap who had a 541 (R?) in his garage, very dirty, not running, probably for sale. Will be putting him in touch with the registrars.

Wow,wow,wow- what a show!
This is the best event I have ever been involved in or seen!!
I honestly have seen nothing quite like it, nor the interest, nor the amount of phots constantly taken, it was like a press launch!

Among the amazing tales ,we had the great pleasure of meeting Dickie Bannenburg (and his lovely missus)- his dad designed the 'Director' car- the Interceptor director, and told us some great stories- Lucky Shaun had the book, so made for a great phot op, He has mailed us both today with some phots & this will deffo be part of a really big show report!!
His dad led a very interesting working life- QE2 interior design to name but a few- Dickie has written a book- no doubt mega interesting.

Special mention to Helen who by far played us a blinder by making the huge distance to be part of this epic event- David would have been mega made up I'm sure.

Well done us all!!!!

In the words of Arnie-we'll be back'!!

Forgot to put these up.
Spec sheet for the car, in Harrods Banking Hall with Joe Bannenberg standing behind the passenger door and a sketch of the fit out in the rear.

Thanks mate- BUT John has to take lion share here, as the admin was epic & the mucking about daily worse!
A joint effort all round, a great team.
Without Steve, we'd not have got both mine there, it cost 6 days out of our life- but get this, we'd all do again tomorrow- well me & John would!!

Glad you had a great time.

This looks a better event than the NEC to me Tim, i went today it was like watching paint dry, seems to have lost its soul, i did not se a single Interceptor or SP, just a barrage of
E types and Astons,, it was actualy a relief to see stuff like vauxhall Firenzas, marinas, base capri mk1,s etc etc,, arrived at 11 left by 2,30 its gone,,

Will keep an eye out for the London show, looks like a good one!

Visited the NEC on Friday and although we enjoyed the day it was a bit flat compared to previous visits. Club stand was great to visit and chat to folk and enjoyed looking round the Fords in hall 5 and seeing the "underdog" cars like Maxis and Princess etc. Some nice Americans in hall 5 also.

Jensen wise apart from the club stand there wasn't much going on that we saw so a bit disappointed, as Dunc says no Interceptors or SP's to be seen. Would have been great to see Eric Morcombes Interceptor close up but didn't fancy shelling out the price of an auction catalogue just to gain access to the fenced of area!

The whole Wheeler Dealers thing seems to have got out of hand, some good charity work that they did but can't help thinking it was more enjoyable a few years back when a bit more down to earth and to the point !!
