Dutch Autumn weekend 2019 in Champagne country
Dutch Autumn weekend 2019 in Champagne country
The Dutch Autumn weekend for 2019 will be held in late September. We are planning to go to the Champagne area in France. The weekend will start on the Thursday afternoon. We will stay in a hotel in or near the Roman city of Maastricht, the most Southern part on the Netherlands. On Friday we hope to continue on to a hotel in France not to far from Reims and stay there until Sunday. Reims is Champagne country so keep space free to take some home some bottles of the bubbly stuff.
You can either join the party in the NL on Thursday or in France on Friday. Hotels and prices have yet to be decided upon but will be very reasonable as usual.
As soon as we will have more details we will let you know.

Re: Dutch Autumn weekend 2019 in Champagne country
We have the final dates for the Dutch Autumn weekend 2019. We will start in the very South of the Netherlands on Thursday 19/09/2019. From there we will travel to the Champagne area in France where we will stay the Friday and Saturday night and return home on Sunday, 20-22/09/2019. You can also skip the Thursday and join us on the Friday.
We have not decided yet on the hotels. The bigger hotels in France are generally more expensive and less luxurious with a minimal Continental breakfast but often offer superior dinners compared to Germany. The price for the weekend (Friday-Sunday) will probably be slightly higher than last year but we will do our damnest to make it the usual good value. We will leave out the lunches on the Friday and Saturday so everybody can have whatever they want: a Big Mac on the way or a nice 5 course menu in a Michelin star restaurant or anything in between. We will however continue with the usual lunch on Sunday as the farewell party.
As it provides quite a few challenges to find a suitable nice hotel in France we may in the end change our plans and go to the Mosel/Eifel area.
More details will follow in due course.

HI Kees,
Jenny and I should like to attend in the SP and my son Adam will also almost certainly come as well in his JH. He has just changed job and is not yet certain when he can take holiday.

Richard Fischer

Hi Kees,
We’d be keen to take part!
En route to Switzerland we stayed here, I can thoroughly recommend it and its smack in the middle of the vineyards!
