Diane, myself, Rob and Mandy arrived home today safe and sound... no real mishaps but two unusual things happens... never know this to happen before to anyone, there was a broken return accelerator spring broken and the condenser, points came undone... so two minutes and back running...
I must say congratulations to our New Chairman, Shaun for speaking to everyone on Saturday night in front of many Germans... Shaun was speaking to us all in German.. Well done that man...
A big thanks to Joerg and Jens for fantastic weekend.. Well worth the trip..
On our side.. car ran very well.. no problems,.. it now washed & polished and tucked up waiting for the next trip..

Probably won't wash mine for a month, and she will wear her 2000 miles of dirt with pride.
She certainlt won't start rusting as the underside is now nicely coated in Dexron.
Today have been playing trains with a difference in Wuppertal.

The Swiss committee decided to dress up (down?) their cars for the Saxony event, in preparation for our 2018 International. And yes we don't, I mean do, realize that we're not driving a Cobra Downside is that I can't use the C-V8 anymore for work, looking as it does.Grant wrote:Somebody have a Job Lot of them or something?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this fantastic arrangement
I came home today, 20.09 at 10.00 - all in one piece and with no technical hicups
Driving from Lichetenwalde to Travemünde was all on motorways and gave me a chance to check the fuel consumption - at someting close to 130 kmh all along the car did 12,76 l / 100 which I think is excellent - hence the overdrive proved itself useful on long trips (with only very limited use of the acceleration pumps - due to constant speed)
On the ferry I spoke to a Dutch guy (living in Finland and speaking Finnish too) driving a Triumph Spitfire 1.5 - he drove the car with the top down all the way during his 4 week trip around The Neatherlands and Europe - this morning he boarded the car-train taking him home to Lapland

Great event and brilliant road trip, 512 miles covered on the Tuesday back to Somerset from our night stop. Thanks to Jens, Joerg, Peter and everyone who worked so hard organising the event and making us so welcome.

Arrived home safe and well, 11 o'clock today, gearbox held up, used about 3 litres of fluid. Covered around 1800 miles, and returned 18.6 MPG, as I was driving like a nun for most of the way home
Thanks to all again, brilliantly organised, and the company once again truly overshadowed the cars, which is why I really love this club.

I arrived home today after an amazing 10 days away.
Thank you to everyone involved with the incredible organisation of such an event.
The area is beautiful and the scenic drive lovely as well as "challenging".
I would never have guessed how hard it might be to park exactly equidistant between two pallets full of beer!
Apologies for disappearing early on several days (& nights) and not being the most sociable but I was unfortunately not well.
2020 miles altogether and an average overall of 16.1mpg and on one stretch even managed 17.1mpg.
A whopping 539 litres of fuel (118 Imperial gallons) and lots of rain as well as sunshine!
On another note, I can recommend the hospital in Dresden who looked after me very well on Monday
Kev - I'm pleased my donation of 600ml of Dextron came in handy!

I've had a great weekend in Saxony. Lots of driving but meeting and talking with fellow petrolheads was the best part. Very well organized by Joerg and Jens.
The weather could have been better but also a lot worse.
Next time in a Jensen again, I hope. However, the TVR Cerbera did very well in Germany. No problems at all and nice cruising on the small roads as well as high speed cruising on the Autobahn. A few times I clocked about 160 mph and compared to an Interceptor it still returns a high mileage.

Many thanks to Jens and the team for a fantastic trip to Dresden. A wonderful gathering of Jensens from all over Europe and a chance to meet up with friends old and new. Home yesterday after a round trip of about 1450 miles and too many petrol receipts to add up. Really enjoyed driving the FF for real (unfortunately need more lessons for parking between beer crates!) My thanks to Laurent for navigating on the tour. Looking forward to Switzerland next year!

Charlie Ware's Interceptor 1 in the Czech Republic. Other than a problem with the wiring to the fan controller (probably due to the damp) the car behaved faultlessly.
