Got around to one of the rear corners for a clean up.

My OCD got the better of me and I ended up getting all the J’s inline!

(Eddie would be so proud)

What’s next , possibly line up all the trims screws ?

As our local supermarket is on the coast I headed down to Teignmouth over the weekend.

Such a lovely sight but no visitors to be seen, just a few locals.

The colour always looks better against the sea when the sun is shining...

Note: Less than 10 mins to coast and Mrs P dropped off at supermarket.

Had a few hours to spare today so finally got around to making brackets to mount the fogs properly.

I had bolted them on to the bumper via clamp on brackets in 2015 to see if liked the look , and five

years later they were still there!

Took around 1 hour per side using 2mm angled steel bolted to the rear of the bumper bracket.

On to the next thing, when does it end...

Looking much better. However .... they do overlap the sidelights a little. Does that not bother you? :D :D

Well spotted Dion , Its how they left JML or the dealers so not much I can do.

Covers just about fit , I wonder if some people move the overriders a bit ?

As there is no JOC International in 2020 I decided I would actually enter into the 'virtual concours' competition.

Although I keep my car clean and tidy , it's always a basic wash then polish (Autoglym)

After getting a Poorboys DA polisher recently as a birthday present I decided to have a go at the art of 'detailing'.

I had no idea it would be a 5 stage process but must admit I enjoyed seeing the colour and shine lift during the clean.

1. Clay Bar 2. V38 Filler 3. Blacklight Polish 4. Cherry Wet Wax 5. Jet Seal filler (All from Chemical Guys)

All in all I am very pleased with the outcome , although I wouldnt want to do it for a job !

Here's a few more pictures not on the virtual concours page :

Hi John -

Where did you mount the switch for your fog/driving lights?

Mine went on the flat console behind the shifter, I had a broken switch there that didn’t do anything, so it seemed like a good spot.

The lights look good, but like mine don’t QUITE fit there perfectly, but I guess that’s how they built them!

Hi Rocky , Not to sure about other Mk3's but mine came with a FOG switch mounted as part of the 7 above the radio.

As it was already there , I decided to fit a set of period square 8's. I believe that period Cibies maybe a bit smaller and fit better.

I would be interested which 7 switches you have ?
