Original Lucas fan replaced with Toyota MR2 unit.

Definitely quieter and more powerful.

Straight swap , just 3 self tapers to hold in place

Very nice. Probably took 10 lbs off the front end also.

There is something about an Interceptor in blue. It just looks so right. Lovely car. I’m insanely jealous.

As 128/4451 left the factory on 4th January 1972 it only seemed right
to take the old girl out on her 48th Birthday.

Lovely bright & dry day so headed across to East Devon (Exmouth)

After a lovely walk when I returned to the car another nice car
decided to park adjacent.

With the enforced lockdown due to COVID-19 plenty of time to tidy up the Jensen.

Decided to clean & refurbish one corner per day.

Suspension cleaned & painted , same with calipers.

Wheels also treated to polish on both sides and new J logo nuts fitted.

Pleased with the results.

Hi Grant ,

Robeys are now remanufacturing them.

With modern technology they are a lot stronger.

Hi John
Hope your all keeping well down in the SW. What are you painting the suspensions parts with? Epoxy mastic or whatever comes to hand. Might take your lead.

Looking good John

I have spoken with Robeys regarding the new nuts and they told me when they destruction tested them the nut was fine and the stud failed. I think he mentioned that the fail was over 200ft/lbs.

The previous owner painted my wheel nuts satin black and the paint is chipping off.

At that price I might try cleaning them up! :D

Another small but nice touch to the Interior.

I think it lost its fragrance back in the 1970’s
