1140/10091

Post by KevinB »

Away to The Sir Jackie Stewart Classic at Thirlstone Castle tomorrow. Two other Jensens are going to be there, I believe.
RTC 956L fuelling issues are hopefully sorted now that prevented me from taking it to The Spring Break. A new fuel filter and replacement fuel pipe seemed to do the trick.

I spoke too soon.
Despite giving it a 50 mile road test during the week. Then the 85 mile trip to the event, it got me halfway home again before it was cutting out periodically. A tad dangerous on the A92 dual carriageway. A 5 hour wait for the RAC and a 90 minute ride in a recovery truck to cover the last 30 miles ( didn't get out if 2nd gear) because the recovery truck was in limp mode!
Time to sort out the fuel pump next.

Day out today with Fife Historic Vehicle Club & The Austin Club. J-H behaved itself, fuel pump issues seem to be sorted.
Rubbish image, more folk than cars in the picture.
1140/10091 was 50 on the 29th August although we were away at the time.
Talk about a collection of cars today on the run. Anything from a Hotchkiss to kitcars and everything inbetween.
Average age was about 70 but signs of the times.

First Sunday of the month is a meeting at The Rhynd, Tentsmuir Forest in Fife.
Unofficial meeting today but usually organized by motoring journalist Ed Foster.
Such an variation of vehicles as the image shows. 1140/10091 is still behaving and does create a decent amount of interest up this way.
