You know you are getting old ...

Post by Julian »

When the thread on my car which I think was dated 2007 now longer appears ... :(

It's been a while since it was updated to be fair - the car's run fine for years but recently it was time to bring the AC into the 21st century.

Pat, of Fenn Air sent me his kit, the local AC guy in Auckland fitted it, the Edelbrock EFI requiring a right angle fitting on the fuel rail being the only mod.

HIGHLY recommended !

Looks very clean Julian, did you have working A/C before? or was it replacing a dead system?

Looks very nice.. The new Air Con unit will make a big difference to the comfort of driving when you have the roof up..

I really could not recommend this FenAir system highly enough
Only working half a day now.

Hi Ray yes I’d had the gas changed back when I got the car and it worked ok. All in a box if a future owner wants it …

Thanks Colin, agree Pat is great.

I did also change the fan to the RAV4 one mentioned in forum posts. Very easy to do. However in my case it is no quieter or forceful than the fan that was fitted by a jensen in the 89/90 rebuild so a bit of a waste of time :)
