Hello,
About a year ago I decided to started my restoration project. The car did look quite ok but I had noticed some nasty spots, eg. the top of the inner rear wheel arches and the ends of both sills that needed serious attention. As I wanted to avoid a patchwork operation I completely stripped the body in the following months. Engine and gearbox out, both axles off, all glass removed and so on ...
This autumn the engine has had its check-up, cleaned the waterways, new head-gaskets and the usual sealings replaced.
By now the body is dry ice cleaned and awaits it’s repair.
So all in all I would say I am halfway through, the messy jobs have been done and looking forward to putting it all back together.
Attached some pictures.
Happy New Year to you all
Jan

Hi
Your car is looking very good and the early photos reminded me of my car - as it was also white with a black vinyl roof - although i retained the original white colour including the roof
Your car being about a month older than mine (Ex Factory 13.07.73) - with yours being ex factory 25.06.73
Your car was in the JOC Magazine 156 03/04.2001 with a Photo - when it was judged best car at the Show at Bolton Automania in JUly 2000
Previous owner was Graham Scattergood
Sold at H & H Auction 19.04.2012 for £14,062
Recorded extras fitted included louvred bonnet, driver and passenger door mirrors, front fog/spot lights and the vinyl roof
I look forward to further photographs on progress on the car
KInd regards
