looking for an Interceptor

Hello everbody.

Right now, I do not own a Jensen yet. I hope I will do very soon as I am in the process of buying a Series III Interceptor.

I think I have to introduce myself.

I am Jean-Philippe From Marseille (France). I am 48 married and father of 3 kids and a baby-dog...

I have to apologize for my poor and rusty english (I spent a year un Edinburgh but I was 23 and I am 48 now!).

I am also a member of the club 'les Anglaises ont la cote' that organize every year a meeting in Bandol (south of France) dedicated to british cars and motorcycle. Unfortunately, this year, we had to postpone this event due to medical crisis.

I currently own a 1970 Citroen DS, a 1982 Morgan 4/4 4seaters, a 1988 Range Rover (currently up for sale) and a 2004 Jaguar XJ8. I also owned a 1981 Citroen CX Prestige, a 1977 Porsche 911 2.7 Targa and a 1990 Daimler Double Six.

The Jensen Interceptor is an old dream that started in the mid80's when I spend my summers in britain. If I remember well, I read a Motor Magazine dealing with the reborn of the Interceptor.

Regards,

Jean-Philippe

Welcome - Best of luck with your car.

There is a lot of very useful information here, and maybe one or two people who can "Parlez vous Francais"!

(I am not one of them!)

:D

Welcome to the forum,

If you haven't done already it might be worth joining the Jensen Owners Club, https://www.joc.org.uk/club/membership/join" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with this membership you'd receive our Bi-monthly magazine which is full of useful information such as dealers and cars for sale which could help with your search.
Also you can contact the Interceptor Registrar who may know any history of a car you might be interested in.

Also there is French Area Rep as well, Nigel Pickford (, Île-de-France ) france@joc.org.uk if you contact him I'm sure Nigel will be only to happy to help.

I hope this info helps and good luck with your search.

No need to apologise for your English. It is very clear.

Welcome to the Forum, and maybe the Club.

Hello Jean-Phillipe,

I have a Mk3, (photo attached), which was obtained after viewing the website 'carsandclassics'. There are always a good number to choose from, you never know what is available. I suppose you would be looking for LHD and I think most, if not all, are RHD. As well as 'candc' Auto trader has a section for Jensens.

Best of luck in your search

regards

David Manock, Area Rep JOC NorthWest

Welcome in the club Jean-P.
Looks like an early MkIII, right? I am sure the car will keep you busy - either by surfing in the JOC-forum or driving or wrenching in the workshop. In any case good leisure time.
Have fun
Thomas
