My Interceptor MK2 rebuild mechanical stuff

Post by Gav »

Whilst all the bodywork and paint has been happening, all the mechanical parts have undergone restoration. The engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, steering, prop and back axle have all been reconditioned or replaced as required with the engine and gearbox run up on a bespoke frame to break in the engine and sound out any problems before they go in the car. The dash board has been renovated and all the wiring looms opened up and repaired as required as well as replacing and soldering every electrical connector (a labour of love).

Hi GavImage
Nice work through-out Gav.. well done, I know how much work this all is, and I appreciate all the time and money it takes.. Hats off to you Gav and have one of these >>Image, a medal for seeing it through so-farImage, I am a keen Mk2 freak actually and in my opinion they were they were best model out of them all, but that's just my opinion & I am sure others see it different Image
Lovely job on the recovered dash there Gav, I guess you must have had it vacuum covered did you?.. if so.. where did you have that done please?.. I notice there were no pics of the steering wheel thoughImage,, Can you sneak a cheeky little picture of the steering for us all? well.. just me reallyImage
Wishing you all the best with the next stages GavImage.. Grant Image

Not sure on the power rating but got them from Andy at Appleyards along with the control relay set and loom.

While the dah is out have you made a separate loom for this,? so IF ant problems in the future it can be unplugged and all come out earier and as one unit?
