Colin, I saw this car in the flesh today, Jez turned up at Dartmouth Park, a really nice bloke, and his car is stunning, I think you would be quite jealous. I'm sure in his ownership it will improve, but it is hard to see where he can improve it!!

Plenty of people were taking photos of the Jensen at the local meet. 8)

I wont make it to the International unfortunately, as my wife has booked us tickets to see Tears For Fears in concert at Blenheim Palace on the 22nd!

Thanks for your nice comments!

A lot has already been done to my car by the previous owners.

I have already replaced the tyres this week, as the Pirellis that were on there were 16 years old and were cracking between the treads.
I've replaced them with 215/65 r15 Michelins, which has corrected the speedo, which was previously under reading by about 5mph at 60mph on the taller sidewalls.

I also want to re install the air con as it gets quite warm in that cabin on the motorway....at lower speeds I can open the sunroof though!

I've ordered gas bonnet struts from K&D Jensen in the USA, as I currently don't have any struts to help open the bonnet, as the previous owner removed them during renovation work.

My driver's door lock is now playing up and wont lock on the key and only intermittently on the internal catch, so that need looking at!

My horns stopped working on the way home from West Brom' too....The joys of classic car ownership!

Regards,
Jez

Well I found the problem with the driver's door lock.

A prong had broken off the fork attached to the rear of the lock barrel.

The door latch screws were loose, possibly causing movement and fouling of the mechanism.

I've replaced the broken fork with a used one, obtained from Rejen.

Fixed another issue today.

The windscreen washers weren't working and on investigation I found that a previous owner had spliced a replacement pump into the set up, as the original pump on the water reservoir had obviously failed.

I see that you can get a replacement water bottle and lid with the stock looking pump, but they're quite expensive.

I sourced an identical pump to the previous replacement, which was attached to the inner wing and I now have working washers!

Headlamps now replaced, as the originals had peeling chrome reflectors and weren't therefore very bright.

New lights....

Out at the local monthly car meeting at Kineton, Warwickshire.

Around 200 vehicles on a Thursday night, not bad!

Nice to see your getting out and about in your motor.

If you are local to Kineton, you must be local to Caffeine and Machine, worth a visit if you haven't been already.

Yes I've been there recently, but not in the Jensen though, I'm down the road at Warwick!

I have replaced the fuse blocks with new 6FJ ones, as the old ones looked original, were very corroded and were causing issues.

Tidied the fuse box lid up at the same time....
