Finally got the car finished a couple of months ago and already put about 1200 miles on the clock.
The biggest pain was fitting the new dot alloy plates to the sills, 'B' posts and the end of the doors.
Apart from that the re-fit did not go too bad. Quite pleased with the results of the re-spray, the Mercedes Sellinite Gray goes well with the body contours of the car. It also shows the chrome up nicely.
From the rallies I've attend in the Midlands and Cornwall, there has been positive feedback and goodness knows how many photos have been taken.
Anyway here is the result.

Agreed, that colour change really was worthwhile. I've seen a few metallic colours that don't seem to work well on a C-V8 but that certainly does.
