hi chaps, been busy on ohu1m for past few weeks, as you see whole rear end refurbed, floor pans completely sraped off and re coated, new springs, full new stainless exhaust, just about every nut and bolt replaced,rear calipers refurbed, lots been powder coated. lots of hours gone into this now but a great result and a super condition car

Many thanks to Jim Smith (Challenger) for completing the restoration of my Jensen Interceptor OHU 1M . Lots of hard work has made this car as good as it can be. Jim attentive to detail can be seen right down to replacing every nut and bolt, and retaining as much of the original car as possible. There’s a fine balance between renewing every part against restoring existing parts and I think Jim has got the balance just right. The car drives superbly and Jim’s work should ensure the car continues to grace our roads for another 30 years or more.
Jim’s a very modest man and perhaps doesn’t realise how good he is. May I recommend Jim Smith of J S Auto’s to anyone wishing to have their Jensen refurbished. He’s a true specialist in what he does and has a passion for Jensen cars. He has extensive experience in Jensen’s and Mopar V8’s.

Hi everyone,

I just thought I’d confirm that my Jensen Interceptor Mark 3 registration OHU 1M is for sale and is being sold by Cropredy Bridge. The car has had extensive refurbishment throughout as can be seen in some of Challengers pictures. The car has only done 33,0000 proven and documented miles, and listed below are just a small list of the works done on the car;
New rear and front suspension
Engine bay totally detailed throughout
Underneath of bodywork detailed and repainted in stone chip
New stainless inner and outer sills
New stainless steel exhaust
New seat belts
Large Fosseway front brakes upgrade
Refurbished rear brakes
Refurbished wheels.....etc,etc

The list goes on and on, but one of things that makes this car rather special is it’s pedigree. The car was the last one to leave Jensen Motors in 1989 after being refurbished and brought up to a Mark 4 version and is the only car to feature wood door cappings as this was the last Mark 4 modification upgrade by Jensen Motors. The car was also owned by Peter Gardener who was the well known businessman who tried to buy Jensen Motors out of receivership. There are many newspaper cuttings detailing this failed bid in the cars extensive history file. Also the car was last owned by Mark Maniatt who owned the car for nearly 12 years and is still the JOC Yorkshire representative today. The car is in wonderful condition throughout and I have just given the go-ahead for an additional £5,000 worth of work at Cropredy Bridge to make the car as perfect as it could be.
Anyone wanting to know more about the car then please do make contact with me on 07802 678222.
