Replacement cabin roof headliner

Post by MarkC »

Hi All anyone any thoughts on where to get a new Jensen Interceptor headlining? I understand throughout production Jensen went from hide glued to reinforced card, to bonded to a fibreglass liner - it's just the liner I need - I'll get it trimmed locally. Answers on a postcard...

Mark as far as I know from my experience .. it has always been line stitched vinyl, the stitching through the Vinyl into 1/4 inch foam, I think there possibly was also a backing on the foam and that was then glued to the inside of the roof, but the backing I am not 100% sure about, maybe that may have been on the later cars or maybe not original, I saw it on someones car on here recently, but I think it may have not been original, check the thread by " Rolando"

Just removed the original headlining from my MK3 and the vinyl is foam backed and stuck straight to the roof
