There's me thinking there was a lot still to do Hope to see it on Sunday when i'll be there.Trevithick wrote: The whole exhaust is, seems a shame to bolt it to the car.
Kees, hopefully it should be there, just need to rust proof it, finish the exhaust, tune it, mot it and test drive and sort the small details.

I thought that you do not need to MOT it any longer as it is over 40 years old?Trevithick wrote: Kees, hopefully it should be there, just need to rust proof it, finish the exhaust, tune it, mot it and test drive and sort the small details.

Re: HEA4K.
The way I drive them I prefer to have someone independent look over it once a year. Mind you this car passed an MOT before I bought it, I say no more.kees wrote:I thought that you do not need to MOT it any longer as it is over 40 years old?Trevithick wrote: Kees, hopefully it should be there, just need to rust proof it, finish the exhaust, tune it, mot it and test drive and sort the small details.

Re: HEA4K.
On the other hand you know the car and its correct required performance better than the MOT man.
We still have a bi-annual APK (MOT) test. The APK tester (Subaru-main dealer) let me test my own J-H using their facilities as he does not know what to look for (bar play in the joints/steering and braking results). He would not know what carburettors or distributors are let alone how to adjust them. He even shies away testing the brakes and let me do that. I think he may be afraid of the car.

Nothing to be frightened of, they’re tame little cars (well almost).

It’s out and maybe at the international, or broken down somewhere in Devon.

Mark ,
Lucky I wasn’t in Teignmouth earlier.
Your car would have been impounded and you would have to swear allegiance to the cream first brigade.

Re: HEA4K.
Mark,
Thank you for the loan of your multi-meter on Sunday. I returned it to your car but didn't manage to find you to say thanks. My problem was quickly resolved. I hope the same was true for the Interceptor I saw you helping in Upton on the way home.
You're a gent.
