Tony of course knew I was behind him and was using the capabilities of his car to keep me there :D . Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our drive up through north Cornwall that evening on the twisting, single carriageway A39.
It might have been different if Rosemary hadn't kept telling me to slow down! I invested in rather expensive Avon tyres during the restoration, and they suit the car really well, not only in the dry, but from Mark's recent experience also in the wet!

Well since it's been down here the weather has done nothing but rain. Even I can't take this fine machine out in that, yet.
The SP on the other hand has to.

Lovely looking car.
I've always had a soft spot for a Jensen Healey.
When I was a teenager (many moons ago) a neighbour had a yellow one that I lusted after and then after a few years, as an undergrad, I used to admire a black one which sat in a local dealership for months. It was the princely sum of £1,795, which was beyond my means at the time.
It was an itch that I never did get to scratch!
Anyway do enjoy yours and I hope we get some decent summer soon.

I'll be interested to have a photograph of the top speed of this little beauty on the Autobahn.
Only working half a day now.

Might not be so easy to hold the camera straight, rest assured I will get a few mph out of it.

Up to 100mph is fairly comfortable. Above that the car starts wandering a bit and one should be careful.
