Been a long while since I last posted anything on the restoration my J Series MkIII (136-8990). My mech has been up to his eyes with other projects and so it's been sidelined, part way through a nut and bolt rebuild after a complete body and chassis restoration. If anyone is interested in seeing where we're at so far, check out my Flickr page at:

I've tried to sort all the photos into a fairly logical sequence, with numbered and titled folders. Once it's back on the road (originally promised and agreed for summer 2017, but I reckon now it'll be more like winter), I'm thinking of submitting the story to the magazine to see if it's newsworthy enough and of interest.
My mech has agreed to bring on another guy to assist on the project so hopefully things will be picking up again soon, with more photos to follow. With this space, as they say...

Re: Slow progress...
Mark, I like the way you say this is a restoration, looking at your pictures I think It more of a rebuild, you have pretty much built a new car with the old tin you have had the scrap.. And yes I would right something for the magazine because this story needs to be told..
Can't wait to see the finished project.
Top marks my man.

Re: Slow progress...
Thanks! As per the post title, it's been slow progress. In fairness to my mech, Mervyn Johnston (http://www.mervynjohnston.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) he is the real deal, but he is struggling with the volume of work coming his way.
Various lessons learned over the years, the chief of which is; by a cheap car, expect big bills... But it'll all be worth it in the end!
