FF 119/189 Back on the road
The restoration was covered under the FF section, but delighted that the FF is now back on the road and running. Amazing work by the Rejen team. Just need some sun now

I've looked back at the posts on the FF forum ( as an interceptor owner I don't usually go there) I can see what an amazing transformation has been made to this car. It now looks absolutely fantastic and I wish you many years of happy motoring. Approximately how long did the whole project take ? and if it's not too intrusive a question could you give us some idea of the total cost, I can imagine that it was probably more expensive than the current value of the car. Some years ago I noticed a small amount of rust on my 1964 Volvo P 1800 and asked my garage to investigate, to cut a long story short the car was off the road for two years and everything below waist height was rebuilt, the total cost far exceeded the value of the car, but nonetheless I'm very happy that I undertook the project to keep the car on the road and have enjoyed it since it's return to me.

Re: FF 119/189 Back on the road
The project took close to 4 years, it was always going to be 3, it just ran on little. Total cost was notable for a Jensen but fortunately the Rejen work is so good, the value exceeds that. For some people the technical interest of the FF and the quality of work and of course no need to wait a few years carries a premium. That is true for many restorations if done well, but it was never done for purely financial reasons, more to have something different and with a technical value. It does show that more and more, you can invest in the right Jenesen and start to cover the cost, something ten years ago was not true for sure. Bodywork, as ever is the big cost.Howie wrote:I've looked back at the posts on the FF forum ( as an interceptor owner I don't usually go there) I can see what an amazing transformation has been made to this car. Great to see you have the car out Paul - it is looking smashing . I got to drive mine 70 miles or so but it is back for minor teething issues and should be with me in a week. Can't wait.
