125/5323
Dear All,
I am delighted to share that 1971 Interceptor MKII has landed in Estonia.
Chassis no.: 125/5323
Engine no.: J2094/125G
Ex-factory date: 27.03.1971
Destination: USA
Body/interior: Moorland Peat/Tan
A long list of original factory options:
- chromed wheels,
- town & country horns
- sundym glass
- air conditioning
- Philips radio
- special petrol tank
- trim modifications
- special paint - I have heard there were no more than 2 Mk IIs painted in Moorland Peat.
It was owned at one point by Mal Walker in the US. From him, it went to Jeff Lane who ran the Lane Auto Museum in TN. Szymon Rajwa has imported the vehicle to Europe and finally I have acquired it from Franz Wittner in Austria.
A quick fix ( brakes, power steering, carb etc. ) is underway to make it a driver and by next summer I hope to have accomplished a full body off restoration.
Cheers from Tallinn,
Jürgen

I hope you don't 'restore-out' all the individuality of that car.
The bonnet vents and coachline look terrific.
I'm not so sure about the British flag badge on the RHS though.
Is that a classic car shop where the car is parked?
Nice Volvo P1800 and an American-looking car from the fifties or sixties?

Thanks ! Valid point - I will try to keep a fair balance and keep the originality, however still have some limited upgrades.AH1951 wrote:I hope you don't 'restore-out' all the individuality of that car.

I will order 17 inch wheels from Appleyard, however otherwise the looks should remain as is. The interior is in fairly good shape and fully saveable. Seat foam will be replaced, indeed.
The British flag badge needs to go, once paintwork starts.
Yes, this is Autoklassik, a local classic car restoration company. They have done a number of P 1800s ( including mine, which is just to be finished ). The American one is a ex-police car, need to check exact made. Anyhow, with badges and signal light removed, it is now in Estonian Registry.
Best

Hi Jürgen,
well done and welcome to the absurd world of Jensen ownership. It won't be your last Jensen, promised.
How about joining Mart Liho and coming to the Jensen Meeting in Germany in September? Would be a second car from Estonia ...

Schönen Dank !
Regarding September I will see in which condition the vehicle will be , Would be nice to have it restored before, actually.
You never know, it looks like Jensen addiction can become serious ( looking at Your collection...). A 541 would be nice some day, we will see how things develop...

Jürgen

Is that trim all leather? I wondered if it might have been partly vinyl for export??
Good looking car!
