I've just read an unedifying spat on social media between a car restorer and a Jensen owner. It was enough to suck the enthusiasm out of the most ardent Jensen fan.

Witnessing the seemingly good relationship (and common purpose) you have with the company carrying out, what looks like a stand out restoration, is the perfect antidote.

Can't wait to see the finished article. I hope you enjoy driving the finished car as much as I have enjoyed following it's rebirth.

Thank you Stuart for your kind words, I too witnessed the demeaning facebook post which had a similar effect on me and was wishing that the moderator would remove it.

The relationship with my team is in complete contrast to that owners experience, I have complete faith in them and they share my vision of how the finished car should be. My intervention has been minimal and without any major drama making this a hugely enjoyable project. The decision to share the restoration on this forum has rewarded me with many kind supportive comments and i am glad that others have enjoyed my Posts. My Wife and i have signed up for The Swiss International meet in October to give "Toby" some exercise

Hi Andy,

Like everyone on here I have been following your 1st class restoration.

My question is, when are you hoping to take Toby home and start enjoying some serious driving?

In my opinion you live in the best part of the country and you will have a stand out car when finished. So you should have a permanent smile on your face when you finally hit the road :D

Hi Eddie,
Thank you for your kind words. We are getting closer to that day and we are hoping that the next couple of months should see it finished, it is the small bits of detailing that seen to take the time.

My fingers are crossed for you to get on the road for the spring time then Andy.

Far sooner off the road this time of the year to the summer anyway.
