I was hoping to make the Rejen Open Day on the 13th May with "Toby" but we are still a bit away from that point. I will however be attending the Open Day as i have some more parts to collect and hopefully see fellow JOC members at the same time

Re: My Mk111 Restoration - 136/8620(TBY232L)
With "Toby" having a genuine S4 front spoiler i was concerned that no strong point was accessible in the event that i needed to attach a cable for trailer/recovery loading. I asked the team to take a look at this problem and the following solution was devised. A threaded barrel was TIG welded behind the cross bracing in the corner where the front cross member joins the forward facing chassis extension , a detachable towing eye was fabricated allowing it to be threaded into place.

Re-chromed window frames and glass fitted together with overhauled motors/locking solenoids to both doors, i intend both locks to be linked to an alarm system which will make them central locking. All fixings where possible were replaced with stainless

What a wonerful beautiful fussy job they are doing with your Car Mr Toby Owner .... I love thier workmanship.. they seem to "Cut the Mustard" as they say ..Its a pleasure viewing the Pics
Why dont you throw a six pack induction on it Mr Toby Owner? .. that would finish it off just beautifully
Wishing you well ...... Grant

Hi Grant,
Thank you for compliments and good wishes, it comes to something when the team are more fussy than the client. I think i will pass on the six pack induction and leave that to the SP's, they are telling me that the engine rebuild and removal of emission bits and pieces will produce SP like performance which should be fun.
Regards
Andy

BCC four pot front calipers with Jensen branding. The Jensen branded versions are only available from Martin Robey as they own the copyright. BCC are now developing a rear four pot caliper to match the fronts which in due course i am hoping to fit to "Toby"

Really good idea on the oil and transmission cooler on the valence ports...
Beautiful execution.
I am sure you have run through the calculations, but I would be a little concerned about the lever arm on your tow-hook, and the force it will exert into the gussets towing the car up a 30* ramp.... Beautiful design and thought, but the shorter you can make the tow attachment point, the better... Just a suggestion for consideration.

Re: My Mk111 Restoration - 136/8620(TBY232L)
Looking really good Toby
I am really interested in how they have mounted the alternator and bracketry they have used which I cant really see from your pictures
I wondered if you could get some pictures of the front of the alternator for me as I am looking at modifying the bracket but looking at yours it doesnt seem to have the same bracket for the alternator ......would really help if you could get a few pics for me
I see you have wrapped the headers.....the stainless steel 4 branches get very hot 180 deg + .....not sure if the cable ties are a permanent thing but would be better and safer to use twisted wire than cable ties in that area to secure them
It will be one of the best cars out there when finished Andrew and Im really looking forward to seeing it sometime
