Nearly there! engine bay finished with refurbished air filter fitted, bonnet catches fitted/adjusted, another job requiring a lot of patience and skill on the part of the team and finally moved over to the ramp for final checks and valet before release to me in the next few days

Hooragh! Big day the car is complete and following getting my broker to agree a value it will be ready for a shake down/road test. The car was trailered to Figolux photo studio Redruth today where the proprieter Andrew Mclean Brown spent the day capturing the excellence of the restoration teams efforts. I will post some of his fabulous work in due course. a big thank you to him and also to Andrew Finch for today

The three year project is now complete bar what the road test/shake down reveal, if anything. Some images from yesterday as promised, with more to follow in due course.

Wow Andy!
Words almost fail me. A most amazing result and simply stunning pictures. Quality befitting a top level motor show brochure!
I hope to see you and the car at the International.

By far one of the best, if not the best restoration I’ve seen. The car and the photos are stunning.
Re: My Mk111 Restoration - 136/8620(TBY232L)
Thank you GaryC,ChrisR,Grant and Lawrence for generous comments,
I am very obviously thrilled with the final result and delighted with the support the JOC has provided through this Forum. Fate has played a significant part in making this happen, from Derek Mowat buying my Corniche and suggesting the Interceptor as a replacement, being introduced to Mark Rivron who sourced "Toby" locally, again via Mark meeting the restoration team only minutes away and they in turn suggesting the local body shop. This local connection allowed me to closely follow every step and form the bond with "Toby", my lack of practical skills prevented me from getting hands on. The restoration team know how greatful i am for their commitment to this project, hearing the stories of those not so fortunate made me realise what a find they were , not having to micro manage their work or question their hours made this a most enjoyable experience. Earlier in this thread i acknowledged those suppliers of parts and services who helped towards getting it to where it is today, but i would like to thank specifically James Gazzard of BCC and Jason Lawrence and all at Rejen.
