Re: My Mk111 Restoration - 136/8620(TBY232L)
The arches were rolled on the Mk3s /SPs because of the wider alloy wheels. Mine still has its original arches and all 4 are rolled.
SP 131/4980.
Back soon.

Super picture.
I love the look of that spoiler / air dam. It really sets off the car.

I have just posted on "Alternative Parts",
" Although my original Smiths fan was working it was very noisy and not particularly effective. I researched replacement options and discovered that the Denso unit fitted to Toyota MR2 Mk2's was a possible contender. I sourced a used Denso unit part No. 194000-0330 and it fitted with no modifications and was a fully reversible process. The Denso unit is not only considerably quieter but also more powerful, i would imagine these Denso fans were generic and fitted to numerous other Toyota's."

Fantastic Toby - I suspect there are a lot of people who hate the noisy, low volume of air original interior fan and this really looked like a good alternative!Toby wrote:I have just posted on "Alternative Parts",

Re: My Mk111 Restoration - 136/8620(TBY232L)
Have recently completed a similar modification myself using an American aftermarket fan instead of the Toyota item.
Depending on how far you want to go doing the job consider changing from the standard resistors under the battery tray to a modern item.
I found another compatible resistor from the US on eBay,manufactured by Wells part#ja1342 at $30 plus postage.
Mounted in the airflow to keep cool.
Lovely car Toby,Tim.
