Your right Grant, but with the new MOT requirements you never know, as an exempt vehicle it wasn't a requirement but we did it to provide an independant assessment and to keep with the vehicle historyGrant wrote:Well it wasn't not going to was it AndyToby wrote:"Toby" Passed its MOT Test today

It will be good to meet and put faces to the names of those who have been following the project. I have a similar picture from a different angle which i found amongst the history file, i prefer this shot to the one i have, any chance of sending me a copy John?Pymmie wrote:Looking forward to seeing TBY in the flesh this weekend.

An ignominious end to a lovely day at the International Weekend. I was told to expect a few issues during the shakedown period but hadn't expected an electrical gremlin to bring me to this on my journey to Cheltenham. In the shot is my Knight in Shining Armour Mark Rivron helping me recover "Toby", the fault was identified and sorted on my return to Cornwall. I have recorded my thanks to all those who offered assistance on the day elsewhere on this Forum.

They found that a pin on the factory MSD connector block was not making a good contact causing a break in the feed to the coil, they pushed the pin home in the block and problem solvedcolin7673 wrote:So what was the problem?

Now that is really annoying and frustrating when a part like that, over which you and your restorers have no control, lets you down. Glad it's sorted. Judging by the quality of what I saw I would hope you don't have too many things like this and any that do crop up will be easily resolved.Toby wrote:They found that a pin on the factory MSD connector block was not making a good contact causing a break in the feed to the coil, they pushed the pin home in the block and problem solvedcolin7673 wrote:So what was the problem?

At least a nice easy fix. i had a billet msd dizzy new, it did not work/trigger at all we had to play with it to get it to work, how dids you enjoy it before the break down ????Toby wrote:They found that a pin on the factory MSD connector block was not making a good contact causing a break in the feed to the coil, they pushed the pin home in the block and problem solvedcolin7673 wrote:So what was the problem?
